Four time Wimbledon Champion Venus Williams advanced into her seventh Wimbledon final in nine years when she beat Elena Dementieva of Russia 6-1, 7-6 in the semifinals.This year Venus seems to be in very good form, she has not even dropped a single set on her way to the finals.With seven grandslam titles in her kitty, she is considered the favourite to win Wimbledon 2008.
Serena Williams eased into her third Wimbledon final, her first in four years when she beat Chinese Wildcard entry Zheng Jie 6-2, 7-6 and will play her older sister Venus in the finals.The will be their seventh meeting in a grandslam final.They last met in the Grandslam final in 2003 which Serena won 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.Of their previous six meetings in grandslam finals Serena has won five of them & Venus just one.
Head to Head: Serena leads 8-7 all time and 2-1 on grass.Their previous meeting this year was at the semifinal of Bangalore Open which Serena won 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (4).
