After the Epic Wimbledon final between Roger Federer & Rafael Nadal last month,which Nadal won eventually, it is time for the next prestigious event of the season to take place, The Beijing Olympics 2008!

The current Olympic Games programme comprises of 35 sports and nearly 400 events.The Tennis event of Beijing Olympics 2008 begins on August 10th & ends on 17th.With the 17 of the top 20 men & 18 of the top 20 women competing in the 2008 Tennis event of Beijing Olympics, it will witness the strongest field ever & will certainly be an event to be watched.World No.1s Roger Federer & Ana Ivanovic will lead the Men's & Women's field respectively.The no of competitors will be a maximum of 172.

But,The question is who will take home Olympic glory?Last time in the 2004 Olympics Athens Nicolas Massu of Chile won the Gold Medal,followed by Mardy Fish & Fernando Gonzalez in a field which consisted of the World's top two ranked players Roger Federer & Andy Roddick.Federer lost Tomas Berdych & Roddick to Gonzalez.

The Olympics games are very different, take a look at the results of the past five olympic tournaments & the chances of the World's top players winning a medal are less.Therefore the outcome in the Olympics is quite unpredictable.

The countdown for the ATP Cincinnati Final is on! World No.3 Novak Djokovic will play British No.1 Andy Murray who defeated Ivo Karlovic 6-4, 6-4 in the ATP Cincinnati Semifinals.

Novak Djokovic ended Rafael Nadal's 32 match winning streak, who will be officially the new World No.1 in the South African ATP Raninkings on Aug 18th, with a 6-1,7-5 victory in the ATP Cincinnati Semifinals.The Sensational serb reached his fifth final of the season & is looking forward to sweep of all four North American hard court ATP Masters Series titles in this Sunday's final.

Andy Murray reached his first ATP Masters Series Final when he defeated Karlovic in the semis.Last week at the ATP Toronto, Murray defeated Djokovic in the quarterfinals but lost Nadal in the Semifinals.By reaching the final, Murray will improve his ranking from No.9 to a career high No.6 in next the ATP Rankings.

Djokovic may have lost to Murray in the ATP Toronto Quarterfinals, but he still leads the all time record against Murray 4-1 & definitely the Australian Open Champion is the favourite to win at Cincinnati.

World No.2 Rafael Nadal will replace Roger Federer as the new World No.1 in the next ATP Rankings after he defeated Nicolas Lapentti 7-6(3), 6-1 in the Cincinnati Quarterfinals.Rafael Nadal who had been at No.2 for 154 consecutive weeks(Since July 2005) became the third spanaird to become the World No.1, the other being Carlos Moya & Juan Carlos Ferrero.He will now face Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.

World No.3 Novak Djokovic defeated Ernest Gulbis 6-3, 6-4 in the ATP Cincinnati quarterfinals to reach his 6th ATP Masters Series semifinal of the season.Novak Djokovic has won three different North American ATP Masters Series events and is now just 2 matches away from completing the set in Cincinnati.He will certainly look forward to end his three match losing streak against in form Rafael Nadal.
